What is Effluent?
In simple terms, Effluent is that waste material which is thrown out of factories and sewage areas and eventually reaches the sea, river or stays on the land.
When we talk about wastewater it includes all those forms of water which have been contaminated by waste generated from homes, industries and commercial areas. Industries like automobiles, engineering activities, food, and beverages, mining; printing, textiles, dyes, packaging, sugar, etc. use pure water and in return give back liquid waste. Before we send this water back to the environment it is important that it is treated.
